Khalea Ross Robinson is an MFA candidate at NYU's Graduate Film program. Her work has earned her an Alexander Black and Debra and Leon Black Family Foundation Prize; a W.T.C. Johnson Scholarship; and a Blackhouse Foundation Fellowship. Before entering NYU's MFA film program, she majored in Civil Engineering at MIT, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and as the Henry Ford II Scholar for achieving the highest academic performance in MIT’s School of Engineering. She left the JD program at Harvard Law School to pursue a career in media, producing for Tavis Smiley on PBS, Face the Nation on CBS, and 60 Minutes' digital platform, 60 Minutes Overtime. She is a member of the Producers Council of the Producers Guild of America, and seeks to use film as the medium through which to honor the communities and cultures which have nourished her.
